Recently, FRV approved a $1000 grant for summer educational programs for children in the Mexico/Rumford area. At the public library there are programs such as The Bigfoot Show, Mad Science of Maine, Chewonki “Calling All Birds”.
Additionally, Matt Eisenwine, a children’s author from New Hampshire will visit and read some of his own stories . The goal is to talk with the kids about how to get your stories from their heads into written form.
