Mountain Valley Outing Club

Mountain Valley Outing Club offers safe, meaningful outdoor experiences to MVHS students.  These experiences are a gateway to lifelong healthy engagement in the outdoors. 

In January 2023, Friends of the River Valley approved a $2,000 grant for the Mountain Valley Outing Club to cover costs and purchase much needed equipment for Winter Activities for Mountain Valley students.  These young people are able to engage in healthy outdoor activities as well as engage positively in the community with service programs like building a bridge on mountain biking trails which are part of the Mahoosuc Land Trust on the Glassface Stewardship. Director Todd Papianou hopes to increase numbers of the students involved and believes that they are more likely to choose healthy habits and attend school more consistently as a result.
