The Mexico Soup Kitchen
Donations completely fund this soup kitchen/emergency food pantry. Friends of the River Valley committed 1K to this nutritional resource for area residents, and this donation will help sustain this vital service to the community. The soup kitchen currently delivers 18 meals twice a week to shut-ins and serves the community a hot, free lunch once a week. When the shut-ins receive their meal, a bag of groceries also goes to them once a month. The Soup Kitchen also provides a monthly community meal, which is open to everyone, ensuring participants get a hot meal at least once a week.

We can only succeed as a community when all of our children and families have access to nourishment, education, and wellness resources. Part of Friends of the River Valley’s work is to provide funding for programs that address these urgent needs. We couldn’t do this without your generous support.
