While waiting for relief funds from other sources, FRV board members felt it was crucial to help fill the void for those organizations that had boots on the ground, helping to save lives and keeping folks fed and well. After seeing the devastation from the natural disaster that impacted so many people in the River Valley communities, board members reached into their personal pockets to contribute funds directed toward the relief efforts. Donations of $7.5K made to the Rumford Fire Department, the Mexico Fire Department, the Old School Food Pantry, and Envision Rumford covered vital emergency costs for flood damage, safety equipment, essential parts for plumbing, food, and much more!
